The Movers are Coming! The Movers are Coming!

And boy did they show up with packing tapes a flyin and boxes a stackin.   Wednesday they showed to pack the house.  Basically they come in and put everything into boxes that is not already packed.  We did quite a bit of backing and purging already, but still needed to have them do the kitchen and whatever else was laying around.   Couple words of advice:
- Remember to pack your travel bags BEFORE they show up.   This would be whatever you are traveling with in between homes.  Clothes, toys, shoes, etc
- Then take this stuff and put it far far away from the movers.   We had some stuff set aside and they ended up taking my pants, shoes, etc before I had a chance to grab them.
- It was nice they left us our beds and the tv.  We thought great!  We can have one more meal at the house, etc.   Well.. they took all the dishes and packed the food!  The fridge had stuff... but we couldnt cook.  Lesson learned, might as well clean out the fridge and cabinets before they show up. 

- its exhausting.  Be prepared to keep a steady on the movers.  Its not they would steal, but keeping tabs on what they are marking on boxes.  
- Buy a box of the 40 gallon contractors bag.   It seems like a lot, but trust me.. there is stuff oozing out the corners that needs to be thrown out, even as they pack up everything.
- Schedule an extra trash pick up the day AFTER you leave.  I put out 10 bags of trash (40 gallon) and still had a few more I had to figure out what to do with.

The best tip I could give.. is be prepared.  The house should be ready to go, not "almost ready".   

The following day, the house was emptied out.  All the boxes they packed, they begin to slowly load onto the truck until the house was emptied out.  Everyone was asking if we were sad.   In a way yes.  The last 4 or 5 days, we have been so busy, we have not had a chance to take it all in.
